I'm sure we all know at least one person who needs an extra boost and some care and attention to make it through life's long journey. Let's face it. We live in a harsh, fast-paced world which sometimes gets the better of us. And with everything that goes on today, it's no wonder why people suffer from stress and anxiety.
Key Point Health Services, Inc., located in Aberdeen, Catonsville
and Dundalk, may be the answer some of us have been seeking
to find the guidance and support we need.
At Key Point, you'll find quality mental health care, which is the key to opening the door to a new life. With a caring, confident and licensed staff, you'll be sure to receive the utmost care and attention you really deserve.
Key Point offers outpatient mental health programs, residential care and psychiatric rehabilitation. A full range of services are offered for everyone, whether you need assistance with depression, anxiety, phobias, marital issues or specialized treatment for serious or persistent mental illness. Individual counseling, group activities, family therapy and assistance with housing are all provided to allow individuals to lead independent lives in a community setting. Whatever your mental health concerns are, Key Point is there to help you.
Key Point first started in 1983 as a private, non-profit
corporation to offer patients assistance in the communities
in which they lived. Services began in Dundalk, and then expanded
to Aberdeen and Catonsville.
Chief Executive Officer Karl Weber says, "In a little over
two years, the clinic in Aberdeen has grown from 525 patients
to 1200 patients, which is positive proof that there is a
need for specialized mental health care in Harford County.
I am eager and proud to assist my fellow Harford Countians
with the care they deserve." "In the Catonsville clinic we
have an enrollment of 1200 patients and in Dundalk there are
1400 patients of whom half are children".
With a staff of 250 employees and a budget of over 11 million dollars, Key Point offers the best care one could possibly ever want. There are social workers, doctors, clinical therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists right on the spot.
In the specialized Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs for persons with serious and persistent mental illness social skills are taught and developed throughout various workshops. In the program, computer training, woodshop, counseling, academics, domestic, janitorial, ceramic, clerical and physical education classes are offered. All these classes aid in the transition of people from the hospital back to the community.
Key Point also utilizes a targeted case management program, where people who are referred by social services or the court systems in the area can be offered aid and assistance. In addition, Key Point seeks out potential clients who would benefit from the program. In turn, they are provided with the guidance and support they need to access care.
So if you're someone that needs some assistance in their
life, or know of a friend who needs some enrichment in their
life, give Key Point a call and make a change for the better.
You'll be closer toward leading the healthy, fulfilling life
that you deserve. Call 443-625-1600 or www.keypoint.org.
