Key Point Health Services is actively seeking Psychiatrists and/or Nurse Practitioners for Permanent or Contractual positions in Catonsville, Dundalk, Aberdeen, Towson, and Perryville. Provides direct psychiatric assessment and care to individuals and families in Key Point treatment programs, including psychiatric evaluation, psycho-pharmacotherapy, and other psychiatric interventions as applicable for the populations assigned. Reviews charts, and consults with staff to develop accurate assessments and treatment plans. Based on assessments writes orders for medications required and develops plans for non-medical interventions. Serves as a consultant to treatment teams to provide clinical direction and education in the development of individual treatment plans and the implementation of the interventions outlined in the treatment plans. Actively work with treatment team by providing informal and formal consultation, including possibility of developing and presenting lectures/in-service training if desired. Communicates with team members regarding diagnoses and treatments during clinical team meetings. Educates clients and families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment, as appropriate to age and cultural background. Ensures that clients and families are appropriately informed and obtains necessary consents for treatment. Completes required documentation including consents, assessment notes, contact notes, recommended treatments, etc. Ensures that documentation is adequately maintained. Residential Support  Staff Needed:

Education required: AA degree or HS with experience. (One year to one year exchange) Degree MUST be in Psychology, Sociology, Psychiatric Rehab, Mental Health or a related field

Other requirements: Current  drivers license, Must clear OIG, SOR, criminal, and drug screen.

The Rehabilitation Support Staff is responsible for the comprehensive services offered through on-site and off-site programs. This includes  case management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison. The Rehab.  Support Staff is also responsible of for the timely and accurate completion of all documentation such as shift logs, incident reports and  progress notes. Staff are responsible for medication monitoring and education to support self dosing of medication. Staff are responsible for teaching community skills including ADL’s as needed.  A Rehab.  Support Staff  is responsible for maintaining their level of skill by completing the required 20 hours per year of training. In addition, each employee is expected to abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility. The Rehab.  Support Staff is responsible for carrying out the mission, philosophy of care and policies of Key Point. He/She also performs other duties as needed to achieve program goals and objectives. The rehabilitation support staff should have either experience or education related to the population with whom they shall work. The employee should have knowledge of the DSM and relevant symptoms of the most common diagnosis within the RRP programs. The Rehab.  Support Staff will be able to demonstrate proficiency in advocacy skills and case management skills. The employee demonstrates the ability to express themselves well through writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills. He/She will demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and/or special needs population while maintaining patient confidentially.

Child PRP Counselor – Cecil County

Education required:  Bachelor’s degree or AA with experience. (One year to one year exchange) Degree MUST be in Psychology, Sociology, Psychiatric Rehab, Mental Health or a related field

Other requirements: Current drivers license. Must clear OIG, SOR, criminal, and drug screen. This position requires fingerprinting

The Rehabilitation Counselor must have a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field; an Associate’s degree in a health-related field; 30 hours (or the equivalent) of college credit toward a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field; or one year of work experience in a supervised mental health setting.  The Rehabilitation Counselor should have knowledge of the DSM and relevant symptoms of the most common diagnoses of children in the PRP. Employee must be able to demonstrate proficiency in creating and implementing Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP). The Rehabilitation Counselor must be able to express themselves well through writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills.  Valid Maryland drivers license required. Experience working with emotionally disturbed youth preferred. Implement on-site and off-site rehabilitation activities outlined in the Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP) for assigned clients. Conduct in-take meetings for children accepted to the PRP, providing an agency and program overview and completing all necessary paperwork needed prior to the initiation of services. Develop and/or implement the Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP) based on the specific strengths, skills and needs of children on assigned caseload. Complete assigned in-home or community based visits for each child on assigned caseload as scheduled each month, providing individualized, creative assistance and support designed to help children achieve their identified goals. Conduct PRP group activity sessions for children enrolled in the PRP, as assigned. Provide individualized case management, psychoeducation, support and assistance to each child, as necessary, in order to implement and achieve prescribed goals. Provide and/or coordinate transportation to individual and group PRP activities, as needed. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all documentation including but not limited to, service tickets, contact notes, monthly progress summaries, and quarterly IRP reviews. Complete all responsibilities and ensure the accurate and timely submission of all paperwork necessary for Key Point to submit and receive payment for services. Work with the Rehabilitation Specialist(s) and the Program Manager to create and implement a monthly schedule of PRP activities. Work with other inter- and intra-agency professionals to coordinate services for assigned caseload. Maintain and ensure appropriate and timely communication with other Mental Health Professionals working with children enrolled in the PRP to ensure an efficient coordination of services.
