Community Mental Health Centers Our Community Mental Health Centers offer a full range of services for children and adults. All physicians are Board Certified and licensed in the State of Maryland. Several are specialists in the delivery of mental health care for children and families. All therapists are licensed specialists and offer a wide array of counseling for individuals, families and couples. The clinics operate five days per week and also has evening hours.
Individual, Group & Family Therapy Services to Adults Key Point Community Mental Health center provides psychotherapy and psychiatric services to adults with a wide array of mental health problems. Patients are treated in individual, group, or family therapy, or a combination of those modalities. Group therapies are an excellent treatment modality for individuals with depression, anxiety, certain phobias, and other mental health issues. Group Therapy Specialty group therapies have been proven to be one of the most effective treatment modalities. Key Point offers at least 10 different groups during the week and patients are encouraged to participate in them. Child and Adolescent Services The mental health center provides services to children, adolescents, and their families. Individual, family, and group therapy are offered. Psychiatric consultation and medication therapy are also available. Board certified child psychiatrists and licensed social workers provide the child and adolescent services at Key Point Community Mental Health Center. In School Treatment At many of the local elementary and secondary schools an "in school" treatment program is available to students and family members. A licensed therapist and a child psychiatrist offer hours during the school day to help treat children. This program offers treatment through family counseling and psychiatric consultation.
